Was: New Ektachrome 100D (7294) / Now: photokina 2018

Daniel Henríquez-Ilic

Ektachrome 100D in 135 photo format was not released yesterday at photokina 2018 (day 1), however Kodak Alaris had samples of Ektachrome 100D already exposed and developed, that were available for viewing in a portable Light Table. The release date according to Kodak Alaris is November 2018.
Samples were quite promising: fine grain, natural colour rendition, more exposure latitude compared to previous Ektachrome stocks.

Other manufacturers  displaying photochemicals products are Foto Impex, Adox, Bergger, Film Washi, Fujifilm, Noritsu, Cat Labs, Jobo, Ars Imago, CineStill Burbank

Fujifilm had even a flyer mentionning they will continue  support film (Velvia, Provia, and negs as Pro400H etc).

Daniel como te va hermano,
Mira…..looking forward to working Pros testing this film (not YouTubers), although seen stuff from Sandra Coen etc….for me with slide film it was Fuji Provia II as it scans beautifully….I used to scan that film on my Scanmate 5000 drum scanner and it is superb…..nowadays its all about colour negative for me on a Flextight 645 scanner connected to modern Mac Pro via adapters (Firewire 400-800-thunderbolt) but I must say the Ektachrome is very interesting…/will certainly buy a 5-pack and shoot it on my beloved Leica 6.2
