35mm looking great.

Last Christmas by Wham has been remastered to 4K: https://youtu.be/bwNV7TAWN3M

Like many people I only ever say this over the air in 625PAL, presumably from a 1 inch dub of the master.  Makes you realise just how good 35mm can be.

Let's hope that this classic is going to receive the same treatment...

The remaster does look impressive - all the more reason to shoot RAW when shooting digital these days. Advances in color science and debayering patterns mean that anything recorded in RAW can be redeveloped in the future. I've opened years old Red files in the latest Red Cine X, and noticed marked improvement upon open. I'm not sure we can say the same for ProRes files, even with LOG encoding.

We must remember that this music video was filmed in 1983 or 1984 when the best film stocks were the Eastman 100T 5247 and the 400T 5294.  Those are older than the EXRs, and the three versions of VISION's, each with significant improvements in grain, latitude and sharpness.  Skin tones and lighting control appear amazing on these old stocks as they continue to do today for those who choose film capture.
