I've just added the ACES emulation LUTs that Nick Shaw and CML have been working on.

It is helpful if less use of capital references only are used

I'm obviously thick, I don't understand this message.

Explain?

I just made a comment on CML about DIT's and once again I get a backlash from DIT's. Lets get this straight, I do not wish DIT's harm its just that I think that for the majority of shoots there's is a job that may have been required during the transition from film to digital but that in the majority of cases it's no longer needed. Thanks Geoff and Nick!  And just in the “nick” of time. My opinion about DITs is that they are invaluable but if you are doing an ultra low budget film (under $1 mil), like I am starting next month, then good luck getting the budget for one. If you work in this way though you need to make a deal with the producer that you will get extra time in the final grade (in which you won’t get paid). Thanks again guys. I will definitely be using the Vlog version in our Varicam LT.

You're surprised? Exactly what the fuck did you expect would happen?

Oh I expected to get a whole lot more abuse than I have so far.

It’s amazing how loudly people shout in defense of something indefensible 😊

That's only because I have decided it's not worth my time to gut you like a fish about it.

Why on earth would you want to do that?

I didn't attack video engineers, I went for DITs, as you know, not the same thing at all.
