LA CML-ers: Very Special Charlie Chaplin Screening THIS SATURDAY

Sean P. Malone

Fellow LA CML-ers,

I'm on the board of a silent movie organization called Retroformat Silent Films here in Los Angeles, and on January 18 at 7:30pm, we're having our biggest screening to date in our 10 year history: Charlie Chaplin's 1925 version of The Gold Rush, projected from 35mm film, at the Hollywood Legion Theater, with a live improvised score.

This film is rarely shown in its original 1925 version. It is almost NEVER shown with a live improvised score. Also if you haven't been to the newly renovated Hollywood Legion Theater yet, you're missing out on LA's most beautiful movie house.

Ticket link below. CML members can get a 10% discount off general admission tickets by using the code "CML" at checkout. A $2.50 donation will be made to CML for every general admission ticket bought using this code.

Thanks so much and if you do end up coming, please find me and say hello!

Sincerely,

Sean P. Malone
