Resolve - LUT output problem

Art Adams

Hi all-

I’m using the free version of Resolve off the Apple App store (v14.3.0.3014). When I go to export a LUT CUBE from a graded clip, the process appears to work—I select “Export LUT” from the clip on the timeline, go through the process of saving it to the desktop… but no LUT appears.

The dropdown says “No LUT,” but I’m attempting to create a LUT from a graded image.

I’m not aware that this is a paid feature, and usually Resolve pops up with a “This is a paid feature!” message when it is. Am I doing something wrong, or is this an undocumented feature?

Thanks.

I would make an educated guess that this a problem with the App Store version. It’s always had issues due to the ‘sandboxing’ enforced by Apple on App Store apps. I would suggest you install the version from the website because this function works for me.

Looks like when color science is set to ACES, no LUT generation from clip happens. Works fine when set to DaVinci color science. Resolve free web version (14.3.0.014)

Thanks for the help, all. I tried installing the web version over the app store version with no luck. Then I uninstalled it completely and installed the web version and now it works fine.
