XAVC 480

Has anyone used this for green screen? I've got an F55 shoot coming up that finishes in HD so I was going to use SStP SQ 444, but I'd like a 4K option if possible.

Regular XAVC doesn't work on green screen, and I'm not sure that 4:2:2 at a higher bit rate will work any better, but figured I'd ask.

I can't check with the post house yet as the bid hasn't been approved.

Thanks.

Art..

I’ve shot it but not seen the results. It was a full length chromakey in a studio in Stockholm.

We shot most of it as Prores 444 HD to the E7 and then at the last minute the director decided he wanted a couple of shots in 4K so I did it 4K XAVC 480.

Its the Bank Holiday weekend but I’ll drop the director an email a to see if he’s got the footage at home.

I’ve used the codec on other stuff and its really impressive, but as you say G/S is a different kettle of fish.
