Flash read/write (was Card problems Alexa Mini / Angelbird C-Fast 2.0)
Thanks Jan, that’s super helpful. I’m definitely not planning on filling it up and wiping it daily :-) Michael Sanders: London based Cinematographer/Director of Photography. reel/credits/kit: www.mjsa

Andy, I’ve just taken delivery of a new MacBook Pro with a 2TB SSD. I went for a larger SSD as I’ve read that the new unified memory architecture means you could edit with footage on the system drive

I insist assistants put cards in the plastic card case and then wrap the tape around the case. To me it has always felt more secure (especially if you go round the case a few times) and it stops bits

good camera body for steadicam to intercut with Venice footage
Andrew. All very good points, I was thinking purely along the lines of picture matching but off course its not just the pictures. The weight is a real problem, I’ve just come of the phone to a friend

Roberto.. It maybe worth trying to get your hands on an A7s3 or an FX6, effectively the same camera but the FX6 has TC in and Variable ND where as the A7s has no variable ND or TC in but does has IBIS

Interestingly by default if I’m supplying drives I’ll now just supply SSDs (either T5 or Sandisk). When clients baulk at the cost I just send them the difference in time to offload a card to SSD and t

As I understand it, the sensor on the FS7 is the same as the F5, and they can certainly produce great pics, especially if you over expose a bit. Michael Sanders: Director of Photography. London based

Different light possibly. Shape in the eyes looks subtly different and there’s less wrap on the top shot as the shadow feels marginally harsher. Michael Michael J Sanders: Director of Photography Mobi
