[cml-general] [cml-raw-log-hdr] Files downloads of tests now available again
Geoff Boyle
Thanks to another donation from Stephen Williams I’m going to take a chance, instead of buying 2 more Pro packages which would give us 15TB of download bandwidth in total I’m upgrading to Enterprise which has a minimum of 50TB bandwidth monthly and in theory is unlimited. I think it depends how many people hit it at once !
Hopefully I’ll get a couple more donations to pay for this but if not, well, what was I going to do with my money? I don’t drink anymore and that has saved a fortune. Oh hang on, CML is meant to pay for itself 😊
Cheers

I now have 2 sources for download linked form all pages and thanks to a donation from Paul Richards a third source will be added in a day or so.
I’d start the uploads now but I’m trying not to cause any conflicts in my system as I have a very slow connection to Kodak, I’m downloading all the film tests but it’s 487GB and the fastest they can manage is 10MBS.
I have a 400MBs download capability…

Okay, I’ve just signed up for a Bronze subscription, it’s not much but I hope it helps.

I’m permanently broke as I have 3 kids, but I would be happy to pay a slightly higher regular amount (I was thinking $12.50, then I would cover that $150 over year at least - It’s a little less than I pay in union fees each month and, to be honest, CML probably does more for me than Prospect) but I couldn’t work out how to do that - and I’m afraid I can’t cover silver membership right now :-( Let me know if there’s a way to go over to a higher figure. A PAYPAL button on each page would make it so easy. Makofoto, paypal’er, s. Pasadena, cA

That’s what you would think 😊
Because of the way PayPal works I have to put up multiple buttons for multiple currencies.
I have a PayPal account in the UK that is dollar based and one in the Netherlands that is Euro based.
You’d think that it would be simple to merge these and/or make it easy to give currency options, it’s not, it’s bloody difficult.
That’s why I added the link to the subscriptions and donations page to each of the cmltests pages. That way people can decide what they want without a blizzard of buttons on every page.
Of course if PayPal ever comes to realise that the world has changed and people trade cross borders all the time…

I know, but the options jumped from $2.50 a month (less than I’d like to pay) straight to $50 a month (sadly more than I can afford) and I can’t work out how to adjust the regular amount within Paypal.

Is there a way I can set up an equivalent of a standing order in PayPal? Cheers, Colin Elves Director of Photography currently Turin

They say they are the “New standard in online payment” and they are not lying. You may want to look as it seem to satisfy all your needs.

From the site's main page: "We believe that payments is a problem rooted in code, not finance. If I could understand a word on their website I might be interested but I'd like to make my life simpler not far more complicated. I can't find out how to use it unless I sign up. That's always a bad sign for me.
