Hello together,
my name is Fadi and I study media technology at RheinMain University in Wiesbaden. As part of my project work, I am looking for HDR images with a bit depth of 16 bits. My professor's research project is about generating HDR images from SDR images. ARRIRAW is 12-bit log encoded, which is equivalent to 16-bit linear in terms of information recorded but eliminates the inefficiencies of linear encoding.
The files are uncompressed unless you download the HDE versions, in which case they will be compressed using a lossless compression scheme.

https://sonycine.com/testfootage/ These shots are in the X-OCN codec which is 16-bit linear raw. It looks like they’ve been shot specifically to test highlights, highlight recovery, and low light. Many shots have a colour chart in. If you want 16-bit SDR images you can load these shots into a free Sony program called “Catalyst Browse”, convert them to rec709, and then export as TIFF, DNG, or OpenEXR. |
