WTB: CRT professional video monitor

Do you happen to have any CRT professional video monitors you’re trying to get rid of? Anything made between the mid-90s and mid-00s would be super helpful!

I’m specifically looking for a monitor that I can connect to a laserdisc karaoke setup and it’s been incredibly hard to find the right fit. Trying to squeeze every ounce of quality out of this thing is no easy task.

I have a 13” Sony CRT monitor PVM series, I think. It’ll display 3x4 or 16x9, standard def. If that sounds like it would work, I’ll take some pics and send them to you. It has a shipping case.

I believe I also still have a 9” one as well.

Hell Alex, are you still looking for CRT monitors?

I believe we have HD CRT in a few sizes. I'm not sure if you need that or SD or if size is more important (the larger the better?).

Hi Alex,

I have a variety of monitors available.

I have some questions below the photos about what would be appropriate for your specific application.

Here’s a sample of what we supplied to a Netflix production last year and are available for purchase or rental.

Spares included 13 inch and 14 inch Sony PVM series Multi-standard, 19” Sony BVM 1910, 20” Ikegami TM series

Here is what went into the racks for the actual set, shown here during initial set up and testing.

We also suppled the Ampex VPR-3 One inch type C VTRs and refurbished Sony BVU 800s, 820 and 850 decks in working condition in case they were needed for practical use.  (Future mods for the Sony’s include remoting the power supplies and associated fans so the sound department doesn’t hear them.)

To help find what might work for you:

What size of monitor are you looking for, what connections do you need, and how are you intending to use it?

Are you trying to make something that his vintage appropriate for the laser disk player involved?

Or is it packaged in a case or system, and you need to fit a particular size of monitor into the package?

Photos and measurements would be helpful.

I hope this is helpful.

Ted
